Back at it

Right at it! We had a little break last week to recover from the travel but on to real life again. Rice harvest, construction and school this week. The harvest was two days of on and off rain and now we are blowing the chaff off and trying to get it dry so that it doesn’t rot in the sacks. It has been a good day for that so far but we need a few to get it dry enough.

Construction has been a hard start for me with all the neighborhood children around. Today I was excited to install a window with some Great Stuff spray foam but I have three issues. One I don’t have enough to get both windows installed, can’t find a place here that has it and three the application straw on the can I do have is broken so I can’t even use the one that I do have. To bad I only noticed the broken applicator after I had the window leveled and ready to foam in.

Some days you feel like everything goes your way and others, well you know! Oh well back to the drawing board.

On a jet plane

We arrived yesterday around 12:30 pm. Which was about 38 hours after our first flight took off. Boaz and Joy were motion sick for most of the air time and my feet were pretty swollen.

Flights went well for the most part and other than being extremely tired and for the motion sickness not bad. It was an overcast day when we arrived with scattered rain showers which kept the temperatures lower than normal, which was nice. It didn't even soak our luggage.

Pretty much a perfect day to travel and a nice start to adjusting to the climate here. The boys were excited to see their friends as were we all to see family. Thank you for the prayers and all the well wishing!

Kamongay

The moringa/drumstick tree otherwise known as kamongay here is a wealth of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and protein. Take a look at the nutritional value for the fresh leaves in the picture below. Some of you might be taking it in powder form via pills.

Maringa sticks

Planting some of these maringa/drumstick sticks. This is one of the quicker ways to get a harvest planting trees. There are many different species of trees that can be planted this way. Two of the picture below show a different kind of tree that we used for a post in our garden 3 months ago. I pulled it out today so that we wouldn't have a tree in the garden. The root system is already very well developed and was getting hard to pull out.
